this is great. one thing i recommend you to do is to optmize the game, when there are multiple enemies the fps drops a bit. nothing like stranger of paradise, and this is just a suggestion. keep the good work.
great game, addictive, main problems for me: especially with the fire build its just messy really messy, to the extent where i couldnt see the character behind all the particles, second of all those trees man, they are extremely confusing and dont make sense to me.
I think a good idea for excess money is upgrades for the avatars and the wepons. Things like faster reload for the shotgun, larger clip for the pistol, more piercing for the crossbow, and extra damage to the flame cannon. There could also spend the currency for regenerating life in the heat of battle or pay for a reroll of stats. It would help generate a greater sense of progression ingame. Oh and also I have an idea for a expermental mode where you can test out wepons, charaters, and upgrades and see what synergize best. It's difficult to do that in the heat of battle.
I have just now beten the horse/deer boss for the first time and I would like to retract the statment that it is hard. It is hard until you beat the demon stag and than it is pure fun. Especialy with a fulsade-reaper-pyromage-run and gun crossbow with rage. very fun and when it started to lag it appeared that the final boss was the game agaist my potato based computer.
really cool and frustratingly addictive. What to do with all of the money though? You unlock all characters and weapons rather quickly and soon enought you have a lot of money sitting there for nothing.
this feels a bit too easy for a roguelite maybe (or maybe the fire healing things is just OP with the +99 bullets tome) but if the final game is like this + 10 additional, progressively harder minutes it's going to be good
I highly recommend making a twitch chat interactive side of this for votes! I had to use a program called instruct bot to get Vampire Survivors to work with my twitch chat but Im not too sure if I can do the same with this game! I will try though and get a look at it if the options work with keyboard pressing for choices :) So far the game looks great and glad Steam popped it up in my games suggestions this weekend!
Maybe try to add multiplayer when the game comes out on steam, it would be super fun to play this with a friend. Although it would be hard to add multiplayer I think it would be worth it.
The force field slowly shrinks and disappears after a couple minutes. Don't be afraid to get close to the edges while you circle the boss and the crowds of monsters, and try and thin out big groups of enemies when you get the chance to make the dodging easier.
Some Exp based upgrades would be cool, like they damage the enemies as they pass over or turn into landmines after long enough or shoot toward you damaging enemies on the way, or they can be collected by bullets
I've been practicing runs where I can only use my mouse for upgrades however I'm not sure what to call it, aimless, mouseless, pacifist or shotless.
Also on the run after I bought all the upgrades I got to 2:XX left and everything went red making it really hard to see anything, after I died it was still red so I refreshed the page progress was lost but it stopped being red.
Edit: the run where I got to under 3mins wasn't an aimless, mouseless, pacifist or shotless run.
Also XP bar epilepsy warning on level up. If you the dev see this, have you considered making a discord server? so the players can communicate easily to you how they feel about the game

After hours' struggle, I finally succeed!
Here is my walk through:
My strat was basically this except to go for the upgrade that gives you piercing and doubles your shot count.

The fusillade upgrade is currently bugged. It only doubles your projectiles. It doesn't add the +1.

is it just me or were the enemies slightly buffed in the new versions?
What version number is the most recent update ? Would it be "Demo Update 6" ?
I despise the deer thing that spawns at 5 minutes left. Pretty fun tho. 8.3/10
I killed the deer thing, my advice; get a build that does high damage in a quick succession (I recommend scatter)

guys how do you beat the lion guy he's so hard to beat
Try and circle around the area and change directions every 10 secs or so, then sometimes the lion will dive in the wrong direction and away from you.

bruh there were so many bullets on the screen that my game was literally running at 2 fps xd it was a literal slideshow
